Work on the Signal Box is now nearly complete, internal painting etc has been completed. The scaffolding will be removed by Christmas allowing the remainder of external repairs to be carried out. Meanwhile work on the waiting rooms is also nearing completion, new window shutters have  been installed which match those on the western platform buildings.     The painting of the eastern platform canopy is almost complete, the repair of the western platform canopy will be carried out after Christmas as will the tarmacing of the eastern platform. Completion of all works is timed for the beginning of February 2010.
