Phase 11 of the project to restore Brading Signal Box and waiting rooms on the eastern platform has commenced.  Funding has been gained from Leader through the Isle of Wight Economic Partnership and the Railway Heritage Trust.  John Martin builders from Wootton have  been contracted to undertake the work which will be complete in February 2010.

Work began at the end of October clearing the undergrowth around the Signal Box and removing debris from the buildings .  By the beginning of November work was well underway, with new steps to the box being installed.
