Following the decision to close Brading The Experience from 3 January 2010 its owner, Robert Ball, is developing a formal Planning Application for the whole of the site.

As part of the process, the Town Council is joining with him in hosting an event to give all Brading Residents the opportunity to hear directly from Robert Ball the details of his plans and discuss them with himas well as recording their own comments on the proposals.

At its meeting on 26 November, Brading Town Council formally expressed an interest in the possible development of the Rectory Mansion building as a Heritage Centre.

The other elements of the proposed development will involve the retention of the HIgh Street shop as Tea Rooms and 17 new homes. The World of Wheels building will be retained for a commercial use to be announced in due course.

The event details are:

Monday 7 December 2009, Brading Town Hall, 3pm - 7pm

Robert Ball will be present  throughout to outline his proposals, answer questions about the future of the site and what happens next. Plans will be on display

Residents are encouraged to call in sometime during those hours to see and hear for themselves what may happen on this most signifcant site for Brading's future.
