The IoW Council's Cabinet is being recommended take another £900,000 from Island residents by increasing the cost of a resident's parking permit from £75 a year to £200 and the named park park permit from £125 to £300. These changes are among a long list of actions to increase income and reduce costs set out in Appendix 4 of Paper B for next Tuesday's Cabinet meeting. The list includes increasing the cost of the important Student Rider ticket by 20% to £1.20 and the removal of the right of pensioners to free bus travel during peak hours.
